Active Optical Cable - 100G QSFP28
Experience reliable, high-speed network connectivity with Cleerline’s 100G QSFP28 Parallel Active Optical Cable (AOC). AOC cables eliminate the need for separate transceivers and patch cords by combining transmission electronics and cabling into a single fiber-based assembly.
Plus, by transmitting data optically instead of through traditional copper conductors, AOC cables provide reliable, high bandwidth data transmission over extended distances and through noisy environments.
Cleerline QSFP28 AOC cables feature four independent full-duplex channels, each operating at up to 25.78125 Gbps, to support an aggregate data rate of 103.1 Gbps. The internal OM4 multimode fiber enables reliable 100G transmission over distances up to 100 meters, making it an ideal solution for connecting compatible switches, servers, storage systems and other high-speed network equipment.
The integrated QSFP28 connector modules convert parallel electrical signals into optical signals for transmission through the cable, then convert them back into electrical signals at the receiving end. This design helps overcome the bandwidth and distance limitations associated with traditional copper cabling while simplifying installation and cable management.
Cleerline QSFP28 AOC cables are QSFP MSA compliant and utilize a four-channel 25G electrical interface based on OIF CEI-28G-VSR. Full real-time digital diagnostic monitoring provides access to operating information through the QSFP two-wire serial interface.
Designed for dependable operation in demanding network environments, the cable operates from 0 to 70°C and requires a single 3.3V power supply. Maximum power consumption is 2.5 watts per terminal. The assembly is also RoHS-6 compliant and designed to withstand environmental conditions including temperature, humidity and electromagnetic interference.
