The Cleerline Technology Group, a market leader in fiber optic connectivity, has introduced ultra-thin, durable 1.2mm patch cords built with SSF™ fiber.
Designed specifically for AI, hyperscale and other high-density applications, Cleerline’s 1.2mm patch cords deliver improved airflow without compromising cable strength or reliability.
“We recognized the need for more durable high-density fiber patch cables in the market,” said Ryan Prentice, President of Cleerline. “Our patented SSF technology delivers a thinner, more pliable cable without sacrificing optical signal or physical performance.”
Cleerline’s 1.2mm patch cords are built with patented SSF glass — the strongest, most durable optical fiber in the industry. Unlike traditional bend-insensitive fiber, SSF is engineered to survive rough installation, tight termination paths, constant handling and extreme environmental stress. It leverages a patented glass-encapsulated-by-polymer construction that significantly increases optical strand strength while eliminating contaminant access points. The normal stresses that cause traditional bend-insensitive cables to fail immediately or over time are neutralized by the SSF polymer.
The 1.2mm patch cords are available in single-mode and multimode constructions with either UPC or APC connectors. Cleerline stocks common lengths for immediate shipment, and custom lengths and configurations are available through Cleerline’s online cable configurator.
